Nirn (The Elder Scrolls)
The world of Elder Scrolls series is vast, and while some places are harsher than others, what's known as the mortal plane has some of the coolest locations. Even in the cold and harsh Skyrim, you can still get to see a dragon. Sure, look at it from afar to stay safe, but still... dragons. C'mon!
Hyrule (Legend of Zelda)
One of the more classic fantasy settings, as long as Link is out there to save the day, you'll be living around gorgeous landscapes with plenty of magic to go around. There's only a hostile takeover every once in a while. You'll get used to it.
The Old Republic (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic)
Even while there's an intergalactic war going on between two factions of space wizards, there's no shortage of coolness and wonder when you're living a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. Who knows? Maybe you'll be able to get your own lightsaber.
The Milky Way (Mass Effect)
If the Reapers weren't trying to destroy all sentient life, the galaxy in Mass Effect would be a pretty cool place. With worlds that have vast wellsprings of life and a Citadel where they can all centralize, there are plenty of ways to make a happy living in the Milky Way.
