Sociopathic villains love to remind the audience how evil they can be, especially when it comes to their own evil minions. Villains often dispose of their own people as a way to show their power and strength, but sometimes they do it because, well, they can. The more callous the villain, the easier it is for them to discard their own people, and sometimes the henchmen end up getting offed in much worse ways than the villains themselves.
Here are some times movie villains were extra cold-blooded to their own minions.

In The Dark Knight, the Joker proves he is the most calculated, cold-blooded iteration of the character we've seen thus far by the end of the film's opening scene.
After assembling a crew to pull off a bank heist, the Joker secretly instructs all of his clown-masked cohorts to kill each other until there's only one person left to keep the money - himself.Cold-blooded?

After repeatedly failing to capture Robin Hood in Prince of Thieves, Guy of Gisborne is disemboweled by the Sheriff of Nottingham moments after being consoled for his failure.
The worst part? Guy of Gisborne is the Sheriff's own cousin - but who better to pull off such cold-hearted villainy than Alan Rickman?Cold-blooded?

This one is just downright cruel - and just another reason why Jack Nicholson's Joker is one of the best. In Batman (1989), the Joker is angered after Batman steals the balloons he was using to gas the city's parade. In retaliation, the Joker asks Bob - his most loyal henchman and No. 1 thug - for a gun, only to immediately terminate Bob with it.
Poor Bob didn't even do anything wrong, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and had to endure the Joker's wrath.Cold-blooded?

In Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, the villainous Mola Ram shows how much respect he has for his subordinates by literally throwing them down a collapsed bridge in an attempt to end Indy. Instead, his men plunge to their demises below, and their bodies are devoured by alligators, much to Mola's complete indifference.
He eventually gets a taste of his own medicine when he winds up in the same alligator-infested waters shortly after.Cold-blooded?
