Hit AMC show The Walking Dead is based on the eponymous comics series, which has notoriously never shied from away from graphic violence. But as this video shows, telling the same story in different types of media sometimes requires a little bit of alteration.
After the show premiered its seventh season, The Walking Dead fans protested that even for them, the opening execution was too violent and had crossed the line.
In reality, however, the show had already toned down the source material's storylines for television purposes. You can only imagine how graphic these books are if the gruesome TV versions are tamer.
