Young Leonidas Fights A Wolf Like He Will The Persians In '300'
In 300, when young Leonidas is squaring off against a wolf during his initiation, he positions himself inside a narrow path- foreshadowing him positioning his troops in the Hot Gates during the Battle of Thermopylae.
In Gladiator, the first appearance in the Colosseum, Maximus asks 'any of you ever served in the army?' To which one of the men responds 'I served with you at Vindobona.' This guy knew him all along and never said anything. Showing how much his men respected him.

Maximus Adds To His Breastplate After Every Fight In 'Gladiator'
During the first battle scene in Gladiator, Maximus had a beloved pet wolf (Wolf of Rome) fighting at his side. According to the script, the wolf was later to be killed in a tent, but Ridley Scott decided that would be too depressing for audiences so the wolf's fate is left unmentioned.
