List RulesVote up the most ridiculous things you can't believe people thought were normal.

People learn strange things about their friends, family members, and coworkers all the time. And oftentimes, loved lones and associates think their strange behaviors are normal. In fact, they may not learn pooping in the shower is generally taboo until someone lets them know.

Redditors, of course, have multiple stories about these abnormal habits. They could hardly make these things up.

    He Pooped In The Shower

    From Redditor /u/VictorBlimpmuscle:

There was this guy I went to college with - when he was in the shower, if the urge hit him, he would just take a [poo] in the shower instead of getting out to use the toilet. He did this the whole time he was a kid apparently, and it wasn’t til he got to college and had to share bathroom facilities that he found out other people showering in adjacent stalls weren’t cool with smelling [feces] as he waffle-stomped a log down the drain.

He Didn't Realize The Sun And Moon Were Totally Different Celestial Bodies

    From Redditor /u/nevar021:

My sister’s ex husband thought the moon was the sun but in “night mode” so it’s more dim.

The man was 43 years old.

He Washed Clothes On Every Cycle

    From Redditor /u/sooner_or_later:

My roommate in college thought you washed clothes on every single cycle on the washing machine. Our machine had a delicate cycle, a cotton cycle, a solo rinse cycle, a permanent press cycle, etc.

He always complained about the washer taking forever...its because he was washing his clothes 4-5 times every time he did laundry.

He Thought Enemas Helped The Common Cold

    From Redditor /u/Dammit_MoonMoon:

In college, a bunch of friends and I were sitting around talking about things we did as a kid. One of the guys in the group said, "Didn't you hate when you got a cold and your mom would give you an enema?" He soon found out that he was the only one.
