General Hospital, like its title suggests, centers on a hospital and its employees in upstate New York. So viewers were understandably confused when, in 1990, an alien named Casey Rogers came to visit from the planet Lumina. He needed teenager Robin Scorpio's help to get a magic crystal that would enable him to return home. Thankfully, Casey and company retrieved the crystal before evil Cesar Faison did much more than just cause a blackout.

One of GH's most famous storylines involved infamous villainess Helena Cassadine and her husband, Mikkos. They stole the world's biggest uncut diamond, dubbed the Ice Princess, since the gem would allow them to take over the world. But Luke Spencer and his love, Laura, foiled the evil plot, stopping the weather machine and ostensibly killing Mikkos. This prompted Helena to curse them on their wedding day.

Two Pals Time Traveled Back To 1968 On One Life To Live (2008)

In 2008, One Life to Live's resident bad boy Rex Balsom and stand-up cop Bo Buchanan were struck by lightning... and they were immediately sent back in time forty years, to 1968. This caused a conundrum, as there were present-day OLTL stars playing older counterparts. The mix-up even resulted in one character's paternity being altered, as Rex-as-1968-Bo slept with that character's mom.

Taylor Gave Birth To Her Arch-Rival's Baby On The Bold And The Beautiful (2007)

Taylor Gave Birth To Her Arch-Rival's Baby On The Bold And The Beautiful (2007)
    Video: YouTube

The Bold and the Beautiful focused on the licentious Forrester fashion dynasty of Los Angeles. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, it centered on the love affairs of lothario fashion designer Ridge Forrester, who flip-flopped between his two great loves, upright and preachy psychiatrist Taylor Hayes and sex kitten Brooke Logan.

The ladies fought over Ridge for decades, but when Taylor finally moved on (one of many times), she still couldn't escape her arch-rival. When Taylor married Ridge's half-brother, Nick, she got implanted with their surrogate's embryo inseminated with Nick's sperm - but doctor used the wrong embryos. The child Taylor gave birth to biologically belonged to her new hubby (and Brooke's ex) and her arch-enemy.
