Vote up the strangest, most surreal episodes of the classic Ninja Turtles cartoon.
Like any show running spanning ten seasons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had some weird episodes. The adventures of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, Master Splinter, and ace reporter April O'Neil were were among the most popular of the Saturday morning cartoons in the '80s and '90s. From their battles with Krang and Shredder to their subterranean feuds with the Rat King, Leatherface, and many a weird mutant, the Turtles' action-packed escapades never got tired... Or did they?
While it's easy to put on nostalgia blinders and remember TMNT as the Citizen Kane of action cartoons, it's occasionally important to settle back into reality and realize that some episodes of that classic cartoon show were weird as hell. "Michelangelo's Birthday" starts out like your classic cliché birthday episode: Mikey thinks his brothers forgot about his big day, when they were, in fact, planning a surprise party. Things take an unexpected turn, however, when Krang unleashes an anti-mutagen that he believes will return the turtles back to their previous pet-sized turtle forms.
When exposed to the spray, Leo, Raph, and Don don't "de-mutate," they just blow up into giant party balloons. After Michelangelo and Splinter chase off their foes, Splinter unveils some mystical mothballs that somehow return the other turtles back to themselves just in time for Mikey's surprise party.

The Cat Woman from Channel Six

Although some weirdos might be into feline fetishism, the Ninja Turtles were not happy with what happened to their pal April when Krang's matter transporter spliced her genes with a feline, transforming her into a mutant cat woman.
Shredder's most ingenious plan takes the form of killer pizza monsters, which hatch from meatball-shaped eggs disguised as pizza toppings. Resembling yellow xenomorphs from the Alien movies, the monsters break free of Baxter Stockman's control, forcing the Turtles to team up with Shredder and Stockman to stop the pizza monsters once and for all.

Unidentified Flying Leonardo

After reports of mysterious UFO sightings, Leonardo and April head upstate to the town of High Falls to investigate. Things there certainly are suspicious, but the duo discover there's no UFO at all - just a an experimental helicopter created by a mad scientist cowboy. His evil scheme involves using laser beams to grow humongous crops, leading to a scene where Leonardo is chased by giant celery stalks!

Mr. Ogg Goes to Town

What do you get when you cross DC Comics' other-wordly troublemaker Mister Mxyzptlk with the child-like immaturity of Pee-Wee Herman? Why, it's Mister Ogg, the impish alien from Dimension Z with a penchant for eating ancient porcelain art! The Turtles have their hands full grappling with a villain who can warp reality around them. Until, that is, Leonardo lures the elfish extraterrestrial through a portal using a butt-ton of imitation vases.
