What happened to Andy Milonakis? In the vein of Chad Michael Murray and Mara Wilson, Milonakis took to the TV screen for a few years, cashed his checks, and moved out of the spotlight. While some celebs squeeze every second out of their 15 minutes of fame, others simply live their lives without worrying if they're still considered famous or not. Well, thankfully for him, Milonakis gives not a sh*t what you think about him. Milonakis's career started as a viral video star and he's somehow made a life-long career out of it since then. So how is Andy Milonakis still famous?
Though born in 1976, Milonakis lives with a growth hormone deficiency that makes him look like a 12-year-old boy, and this foul-mouthed kid persona gave him his big breaks. Most people know Milonakis from one of two places; his debut single "The Superbowl is Gay" from 2003, which lead to his now cult-classic TV show The Andy Milonakis Show on MTV. Since then, Milonakis's voice can be found on podcasts, cartoons, and even on your favorite rapper's mixtapes. He may not be as famous as he was before, but he can still definitely beat you in a race, b*tch!
Since 2013, Milonakis has hosted The Makeshift Gourmet, a cooking show on MUNCHIES, a YouTube channel run by Vice. On the show, Milonakis makes sh*t gourmet by combining "very popular, familiar grocery items with pristine, gourmet, expensive items." In the first episode, Milonakis and his guest David Arquette make Hamburger Helper, but instead of ordinary ground beef, they use imported Wagyu beef from Canada and Australia, topped with fresh black winter truffles from Italy that cost $750/lb. Despite what you might think, this gig sounds much better than MTV.
From 2011 to 2014 Andy teamed up with Dirt Nasty and Riff Raff to form ¡Three Loco!, a comedy hip-hop group every bit as ridiculous as it appears. They dropped a self-titled eight-song EP in 2012, featuring the lead single "Neato," which got a music video treatment by Canadian film director Mike Clattenburg. Their second single, "Bong Hits," was released after six months of delays from their label. Though ¡Three Loco! no longer exists, farmers everywhere should tip their straw hats to the one song that makes agriculture look badass.
In December of 2016, Milonakis announced his addition to the "Baited!" podcast, hosted by YouTube stars Anything4views (Chad) and Keemstar (Keem). On "Baited!," the hosts basically just yell their opinions at each other regardless of decorum, a perfect fit for the loud-mouthed and inappropriate Milonakis.
Milonakis replaced former hosts Tommy and Clown, to which Chad remarked, "I'm glad Tommy's gone, I wish he had died in the army. He's a built in laugh track, I'm glad he's gone. F*ck that c*nt." Here's hoping Milonakis rises above these former hosts.
Milonakis spends a lot of time on the Internet, and part of that is thanks to Twitch, a live-streaming video service. Typically, gamers use Twitch to stream themselves playing different games and chatting or interacting with viewers, but the app also acts as a standard live-stream platform. Andy's Twitch account was the fastest growing stream in the IRL category in early 2017. He often spends his time playing Grand Theft Auto V, bumming around town with his friends, and, of course, free-styling.
