All of the Republican presidential candidates have vowed to make the government smaller in some ways. Many have very specific things they'd do after the election, such as Ted Cruz proclaiming he'd repeal the Affordable Care Act on his first day in office, or Rand Paul declaring the IRS should be abolished.
But which 2016 candidates would really be able to do this? For example, Donald Trump claims he has a plan to deport 11 million illegal immigrants within the first few years of his presidency, but such an effort would require a gigantic bureaucracy, hiring thousands of new agents, and likely raising taxes. Doesn't sound all that "small government."Vote up the Republican candidate most likely to actually make good on their pledges to make the government smaller and most cost effective, and vote down the 2016 presidential hopefuls who you don't think could get the job done if they took office.
