Who Should Be the New Coach of the Los Angeles Lakers?

UPDATE: On May 11, 2019, the Lakers agreed to a three-year deal with former Indiana Pacers coach Frank Vogel, with Jason Kidd brought on as an assistant coach.

The Los Angeles Lakers could soon be in the market for a new coach after a disappointing first season with free-agent addition LeBron James. If the team decides to part ways with embattled coach Luke Walton, who should be the next coach of the Los Angeles Lakers?

It seems like a plum gig: NBA head-coaching position, prestigious franchise — though maybe not the best team in the NBA right now — and you can't beat the weather. But the spotlight is bright, and coaching LeBron James has never been an easy assignment.

There are obvious choices like a couple of the greatest NBA coaches of all time, Pat Riley and Phil Jackson, recent successes like Tyronn Lue, who we know gets along with James, and out-of-the-box choices like recently retired Kobe Bryant or just letting LeBron do it himself. LaVar Ball, anyone?

Who do you think should be the next coach of the Los Angeles Lakers? Vote for your favorites and add anyone you think is missing from the list.
