Jocasta Nu Created A Holocron Vault After Order 66 Which Luke Used When Building His Jedi Order

Jedi Master Jocasta Nu was the Chief Librarian of the Jedi Archives during the Galactic Republic. She managed all of the data and information stored in the archives, including the Holocrons stored in the vault, and she knew more about the history of the Jedi Order than anyone. Her primary job was to catalog and store information, but she helped other Jedi in their search for data pertaining to their relevant missions.

Jocasta Nu managed to survive the Great Jedi Purge, but she didn't simply go into hiding and fade away. Instead, she worked hard to preserve the knowledge she had, intending to establish a covert school to train Jedi. She even went so far as to sneak into the ruins of the Temple on Coruscant to retrieve a Holocron that contained the names of all the Force-sensitive children in the galaxy.

Ultimately, Nu wasn't able to escape from Coruscant and was captured by Darth Vader. When she warned him of what the Emperor might do with the Holocron she carried, he destroyed it. He also killed Nu, but her labors weren't in vain. She managed to store quite a lot of information before she died, and it was all found by Luke Skywalker years later.

Leia Became A Political Pariah When The New Republic Found Out About Her Relation To Vader

Leia Became A Political Pariah When The New Republic Found Out About Her Relation To Vader
    Photo: Del Rey

Leia Organa was a Princess of Alderaan for all intents and purposes, and her parents were Bail and Breha Organa. Through the course of the Galactic Civil War, the truth was revealed, and Leia understood that she was actually the daughter of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala.

This was an issue because it was revealed that Darth Vader was the fallen Jedi, and her connection to the Dark Lord of the Sith wasn't something she wanted advertised. She tried to keep her true parentage a secret, but once it was revealed by a clandestine First Order agent to the New Republic Senate, she became something of a pariah.

Despite all she'd done for the New Republic over the years, she found herself an outsider. Her nomination to the post of First Senator was immediately quashed, and the vast majority of the political body of the New Republic turned against her.

She withdrew her nomination and spoke about her and Luke's accomplishments, defending the children of Anakin Skywalker to the Senate. Unfortunately, her situation offered no recovery, and her political career came to an abrupt end.

Handmaidens Of Naboo Take On Totally New Identities When They Serve Their Monarch

The handmaidens to the Queen of Naboo were far more than simple aids to the Queen. They managed much of her affairs, protected her whenever necessary, and advised her in various affairs. Becoming a handmaiden was a serious affair for any woman on Naboo, and doing so meant entering into a life of service to the highest office of Naboo, and that came with plenty of risks.

Handmaidens are always close to their Queen, so any attempt on the Queen's life means a handmaiden is likely to wind up in the crossfire. Throughout the prequel films, several handmaidens paid the ultimate price in service to their Queen. Because the job is so dangerous, a handmaiden adopts an entirely new identity when they take the job. This is done to ensure their safety (and the safety of their families). They chose names similar to their Queen's. For those in Padmé's service, names included Eirtaé, Rabé, Sabé, Saché, and Yané.

Handmaidens also regularly wear cloaks that mask most of their facial features. This helps them to maintain their cloak of anonymity and ensures the protection of their own families. Padmé’s handmaidens served her as Queen, and they continued to work for the former monarch when she ascended to the office of Senator. In this capacity, they worked mostly as body doubles to minimize the danger posed to the controversial Senator.

Jyn Erso Was Born Inside A Prison During The Clone Wars

Thanks to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the tale of how the Rebel Alliance secured the Death Star plans was revealed. That movie showed that Jyn Erso was one of the most important people to participate in the Rebellion against the Empire. The film also showed how she grew up and what happened to her father, but it glossed over some interesting tidbits that have been expanded upon elsewhere.

Erso was born in 21 BBY, during the Clone Wars. She was born to Galen and Lyra Erso, but her birth didn't happen in a fancy hospital. She was born in a Separatist prison due to her father's refusal to use his intellect and knowledge to aid the Galactic Republic in its fight against the Separatists. She remained there for the first six months of her life before the Erso clan was relocated to Coruscant by the Republic Navy.

Asajj Ventress Trained As A Jedi For 21 Years Before She Fell To The Dark Side

The Sith formed from the Jedi Order, and over the thousands of years since its founding, this continues to be the case for most members of the Sith. Some of the most powerful members of the Sith began as its enemies, and that's a long list, which includes names like Anakin Skywalker and many more. Another Jedi who abandoned their adherence to the Jedi Order to become a Sith was Asajj Ventress.

Ventress was raised to use the light side of the Force by a Jedi Knight named Ky Narec. She trained as a Jedi for 21 years before falling to the dark side, all without formally joining the Jedi Order. This happened after Narec was killed by pirates. She was left with a great deal of rage and grief, leading her to embrace the darkness within. She began a new career as an assassin, and before long, she was discovered by Count Dooku, who embraced her as his apprentice.

Ahsoka Tano's Ability To Use The Force Sets Her Apart From Most Jedi & Sith

Ahsoka Tano is one of the most powerful lightsaber duelists in the franchise, but that's not the only thing that sets her apart from the Jedi and Sith running around the galaxy. Tano's command of the Force is far more attuned than others, and she uses it in combat to improve her lightsaber abilities. She managed to injure Darth Vader in a duel with him, which is no easy task.

Beyond her physical Force abilities, she has other talents most Force-sensitive people lack. Specifically, she can turn a lightsaber on and off with the Force. While you might think that would be an easy thing to do for people who can move objects with their minds, it's not. In fact, almost no Force user can manipulate a lightsaber in this way. The only other people who have shown this ability are Master Yoda, arguably one of the most powerful Jedi, and The Son, a living embodiment of the Force.
