Are you considering making a healthy lunch at your office today? Or trying to save money by microwaving last night's dinner leftovers instead of buying a burger? Good for you. Homemade lunches can be way cheaper and more delicious than eating out. But don't forget: there are rules about what you should and shouldn't cook at work.
Maybe you work at a cool startup with one of those trendy open office plans, or maybe your office kitchen is smack dab in the middle of a sea of cubicles. Whatever the case, no one wants to smell your stinky office lunch while they're trying to finish their spreadsheets. Bad work foods can release potent smells that waft over an entire office, so maybe leave the fish, steamed vegetables, and hard boiled eggs at home.
On the other hand, there are some foods you should never cook at work because they smell too delicious. Popcorn, for example. Or bacon. Don't even think about popping those bad boys in the microwave unless you're prepared to make enough for all of your coworkers. Otherwise I'm going to give you the stink eye until quitting time, Jessica from Accounting.
What foods do you think should be banned from the workplace? Vote up the worst foods to eat at work! If don't see your colleagues' poor lunch choices on the list, feel free to add more bad foods to make at work.1
