If you're an actor, director or producer, the last thing you want is your movie to be released in the January dumping ground. Over the years, January is known in the movie world to be the time when studios put out their less than stellar releases. If you've got a movie scheduled for a January release, close your eyes and run for the hills.
That said, only one of these movies can take home the dishonorable title of the worst January release. Until a fantastic grossing movie or a critically acclaimed flick can defy the odds at the box office, January will forever be known as a time when really poor movies get released. The movies here have won awards, but its usually of the Razzie variety. Until that changes, then January will continue to get its bad rap as a pretty bad time to release new movies.
