Every year a new batch of TV shows are released into the world, ready to be consumed by millions of television viewers. Each show is brimming with potential to be the next great hit and entertain large audiences for many years to come. However, for each massive hit with viewers and critics alike, there is also a batch of terrible shows. These bad shows come in every type of genre, from new show runners and those who have worked in the business for decades. Some of these bad shows star the best actors, each of whom fails to live up to their potential. Some of the shows are woefully miscast, while others just don't have the writing talent to back up the premise.

In 2013 there were a fair share of really bad shows on the air. A few of these shows, such as We Are Men and Welcome to the Family, were cancelled quickly and soon forgotten. Other shows managed to linger on the air despite falling ratings and panning reviews, such as Dads. Many of the worst television shows in 2013 had a premise and the talent behind it to become successful, but something was missing to make it a success.

What are the worst television shows from 2013? While much of that decision is based on preference, the shows on this list were not well-received by audiences.
