The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio have come to a close. Medals were won, records were broken, and dreams were achieved. However, there was a fair bit of bad news at the 2016 Summer Olympics, too.
The Olympics always feature some terrible injuries, scandals, and unanticipated weirdness. Sadly, some of the worst things at the Rio Olympics tarnished the gold medals won by some of the competitors. Visuals like sickly green swimming pools, meanwhile, dinged the overall images of the Olympics, the IOC, and Rio itself.
