This gallery features the gorgeous, young, Audrey Hepburn, and includes photos from her teenager years in the early 1940’s, as well as into her early to mid-20’s in the 1950’s when she first stepped into the spotlight. Born on May 4, 1929, she primarily grew up in Belgium, England and the Netherlands. She studied ballet as a child and moved to London in 1948 to continue her ballet training and work as a chorus girl in West End musical theatre productions. She fluently spoke over six different languages. She made her Broadway debut in the 1951 play Gigi and landed the lead role in the 1953 film Roman Holiday, for which she was the first actress to win an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for a single performance. Among her other famous film performances include: Sabrina, The Nun’s Story, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Charade, My Fair Lady and Wait Until Dark. She is one of the few actors who has received Academy, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Awards. She died in 1993 at the age of 63 from appendiceal cancer at her home in Switzerland.
