Young Hugh Jackman pictures include his high school yearbook photo and many from his career beginnings during the late 1990s. This well-respected actor known for his portrayal of Wolverine in the X-Men series, among many other roles, was once a youngster in Australia, as evidenced by these photos. While photos of what Hugh Jackman looked like when he was young are few, this slideshow gives a glimpse into one of Hollywood's best during his younger years.
Born on October 12, 1968, in Sydney, Australia, Hugh Jackman's parents relocated to the country from England. He was raised in a devout Christian home after his parents were converted by Evangelist Billy Graham shortly after they were married. He is the youngest of four children and after his parents divorced, he remained in Australia with his father while his mother returned to England. He attended an all-boys school, Knox Grammar School, and fell in love with the drama department. He was cast in the school’s production of My Fair Lady in 1985 and became school captain a year later.
Jackman graduated with a B.A. in Communications from the University of Technology Sydney in 1991. He studied for a year at the Actors' Centre in Sydney and realized that he could turn his greatest passion into a career. He enrolled at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and graduated in 1994. Jackman had lead roles in the X-Men film series, Van Helsing, The Prestige, Real Steel, Les Miserables and Prisoners, among others. But before he was starring in some of Hollywood's top films, he was just a youngster coming up in the drama industry and, thankfully, posing for these pictures. See, of all his many talents, it's his natural beauty that might be the most underrated.
