Enjoy these rare photos of young James Spader, best known for his keen ability to flawlessly portray eccentric characters in his roles in popular films like Pretty in Pink and Sex, Lies and Videotape. Currently known for his starring role in the hit television drama The Blacklist, Spader is just as handsome as he was as a young man. Spader was the recipient of three Emmy Awards for his performance in Boston Legal.
His first major appearance on-screen was in the 1981 film Endless Love, and his first major role was in 1985’s Tuff Turf. Pretty in Pink is the film that caused him to officially step into the limelight, however. His roles in The Practice and Boston Legal made him a rare Emmy recipient for playing the same character in two completely different series. Spader has been a successful on-stage performer as well; he starred in Race at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Broadway. The show ran from December 2009 until August 2010 after playing 297 times.
