This gallery features a beautiful young Kirstie Alley, including rare photos from her high school years, as well as into her early 30’s when she first made it big in Hollywood in her breakout role on Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, followed by the hit television series Cheers. Born on January 12, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas, she graduated from Wichita Southeast High School in 1969 and afterwards, attended college at Kansas State University. She moved to Los Angeles to pursue Scientology and work on a career as an interior designer. Tragedy struck her family in 1981, after her mother was killed in a car accident involving a drunk driver. (Her father was seriously injured, but later recovered.) Her first movie debut was in the Star Trek film in 1982. In 1987, she replaced Shelley Long on the cast of Cheers, which she stayed with until its final 11th season. She starred with John Travolta in the 1989 film Look Who’s Talking, which grossed $295,000,000 worldwide. She then received her Hollywood Walk of Fame star. Enjoy these photos of young Kirstie Alley.
