For his performance in the 1999 movie The Cider House Rules, he was nominated for a SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. He was cast for the role of Mike Hannigan, Phoebe Buffay’s love interest in the famous television series Friends in 2002. He also had a recurring guest role on Parks and Rec as Bobby Newport.
