"Zero Dark Thirty" movie quotes follow the action of the military action thriller that chronicles the hunt for Al Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden by American forces. The film, based on the true story as discovered through classified documents, was produced by Annapurna Pictures, written by Mark Boal and directed by Kathryn Bigelow, who previously won several Academy Awards for her work on fellow military drama "The Hurt Locker." "Zero Dark Thirty" was given a limited release date of December 19, 2012, prior to its wide release on January 11, 2013.

In "Zero Dark Thirty," viewers get an inside look into the CIA as an elite task force searches for 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden. The film shows the operations led by the CIA in Pakistan, including research, surveillance and the highly controversial tactics used to capture and interrogate terrorists. The decade-long journey tells the story of just what happened from the attacks in American in 2011 all the way through when bin Laden was killed by United States special forces in 2011.

While President Barack Obama is not mentioned in the film, head CIA operatives, United States Secretary of Defense and former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency Leon Panetta (portrayed by James Gandolfini) and one wise female agent, Maya (portrayed by Jessica Chastain) are included. Several Navy SEAL characters are also featured, though many remained nameless in the film, similar to real life. Chris Pratt, Edgar Ramirez, Joel Edgerton, Scott Adkins and Taylor Kinney co-star as the SEAL members.

For something a bit lighter, check out "Killing Them Softly," "Hitchcock," "Skyfall," "Lincoln," "Flight," "Playing for Keeps," "Silver Linings Playbook," "Anna Karenina," "This Must Be the Place," "Cloud Atlas," "Wreck-It Ralph," "Nobody Walks," "The Sessions," "Red Dawn," "Chasing Mavericks," "Rise of the Guardians," "Argo," and "Looper."

    Just Us and We're Failing

CIA Operative: "I want to make something absolutely clear. If you thought there was some working group coming to the rescue well I want you to know that you're wrong. This is it. There is nobody else hidden away on some other floor. There is just us and we are failing."

Often times missions of this magnitude are both highly intricate and very much secret. That means that only a few people on the planet have knowledge of what's happening so no backup there to help when the going gets tough.

    Still No Closer

George: "We're spending billions of dollars. We are still no closer to defeating our enemy."

As mentioned, the hunt for Osama bin Laden spanned years and cost a great deal of money. For a long time it appeared that their efforts were making little progress, a tough pill to swallow.

    You Really Believe This Story?

Navy SEAL: "You really believe this story, Osama bin Laden?"
    Fellow Navy SEAL: "Yeah"
Navy SEAL: "What part convinced you?"
    Fellow Navy SEAL: "Her confidence"

Having been on the hunt for bin Laden for so long, one Navy SEAL has lost faith in their mission. Not his fellow SEAL however who sees the confidence Maya brings, something that rubs off on him.

Al Qaeda Member: "You will never find him. He is one of the disappeared ones."

Trying to extract information out of a captured Al Qaeda member is quite the task. Whether the captive knows the location of bin Laden or not is a good question since the terrorist leader has been seemingly off the map for some time.
