Boyz II Men

Boyz II Men is an American R&B vocal group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, best known for emotional ballads and a cappella harmonies. They are currently a trio composed of baritone Nathan Morris alongside tenors Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman. During the 1990s, Boyz II Men found fame on Motown Records as a quartet including bass Michael McCary, who left the group in 2003 due to health issues.During the 1990s, Boyz II Men gained international success. This began with the release of top 5 singles "Motownphilly" and 
"It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday" in 1991, followed by the number one single "End of the Road" in 1992, which reached the top of charts worldwide. "End of the Road" set a new record for longevity, staying at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for thirteen weeks, breaking the decades-old record held by Elvis Presley. Boyz II Men proceeded to break this record with the subsequent releases of "I'll Make Love to You" and "One Sweet Day" (with Mariah Carey), which, at fourteen and sixteen weeks respectively, each set new records for the total number of weeks at number one. "I'll Make Love to You" also topped the charts in Australia (for four weeks) and garnered international success. As of 2019, the record has been dethroned by Lil Nas X, whose single Old Town Road set a new all-time record with seventeen weeks at the top of the Hot 100, on the Billboard Hot 100 issue dated August 3, 2019.Consequently, Boyz II Men is among the music industry's elite with regard to time spent at number one in Billboard history with 50 cumulative weeks, ranking fourth behind Presley, The Beatles, and Carey. Furthermore, when "On Bended Knee" took the number one spot away from "I'll Make Love to You", Boyz II Men became only the third artists ever (after The Beatles and Presley) to replace themselves at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. These achievements were enough to earn Boyz II Men recognition as Billboard magazine's biggest boy band during the period of 1987 to 2012.Boyz II Men continue to perform worldwide, as a trio. Their most recent studio album, Under The Streetlight, was released in 2017.
In June 2017, a section of Broad Street (from Christian to Carpenter Streets) in Philadelphia was renamed "Boyz II Men Boulevard". This section of the street is near the High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, where the members once attended.

And the artists who encompass this list are the best the genre has to offer. There are legends, both living and deceased who are on this list. The beginning of what became to be known as R&amp;B started with the Motown sound of the late 1960s. Prince, Alicia Keys and&nbsp;D&#39;Angelo would be considered some of the best R&amp;B singers whenever they burst onto the scene. The familiar R&amp;B artists on this list should come as a surprise to no one. The odds are you&#39;ve heard of nearly everyone on here. Who is the best all-time Super Bowl halftime performer? Super Bowl halftime performers include some of the musical giants in the industry: Legendary performers who gave their all to put on (all too brief) concerts during halftime of one of the world&#39;s most watched <a href="http://www.ranker.com/tags/sporting-events?ref=internalCrossLinking_tag">sporting events</a>. For those who stuck around in front of the TV, the spectacle made it all worth it. I&#39;ve listed many of the biggest performers here, along with videos of the Super Bowl halftime shows (when possible), so be sure to vote for your favorite. For decades, halftime at the Super Bowl featured boring performances with <a href="http://www.ranker.com/list/marching-band-bands-and-artists/reference?ref=internalCrossLinking_keyword">marching bands</a>, Up with People (!) and other bizarre, dull displays. That all changed with Michael Jackson&#39;s Super Bowl XXVII performance at the Rose Bowl in 1993. Jackson put on a heck of a show and the ratings were huge.
