Charles Moore

Charles Hewes Moore, Jr. is a former American athlete, and has served as executive director of the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy since the organization's founding in 1999. Charles won a gold medal in the 400 metre hurdles in the 1952 Summer Olympics with a time of 50.8 seconds, narrowly missing the world record of 51.6 seconds. He had set the American record during Olympic qualifying. He also ran a third leg on the second-place 4x400 metre relay. Moore finished second for the James E.
