Dory

Dory is a Regal Blue Tang that Marlin collides with while pursuing the boat that is carrying his son, Nemo in the film Finding Nemo 2003. Dory suffers from short-term memory loss. Dory accompanies Marlin in his search for his son, and her lack of short-term memory provides much of the film's comic relief. Dory's optimism and her free spirit help Marlin throughout his journey. Dory has a sunny point of view over everything in life. She loves singing which usually gets on Marlins nerves. She also knows how to read. Dory is always getting Nemo's name wrong, instead she'll call him something like "Elmo". She feels like she can remember things when she is around Marlin, i.e. she remembers the address, "42, Wallaby Way, Sidney". and dispite their differences, they form a special bond and become best friends. Dory brings out Marlin's inner spirit and makes him see the fun side of life. Dory loves making new friends so much that she even befriends a vegetarian Great White Shark named Bruce and his two vegetarian shark pals. She joins their club which uses the slogan "Fish are friends, not food", and the sharks are amazed when they hear Dory has never eaten a fish. Dory is the person who finds Nemo after he gets back to the ocean. She befriends him and takes him to his father.
