Irwin Gunsalus

Irwin C. "Gunny" Gunsalus was an American biochemist who discovered lipoic acid, a vitamin-like substance that has been used as a treatment for chronic liver disease, and pyridoxal phosphate, one of the active forms of vitamin B₆.
