It&rsquo;s official: America&rsquo;s dad became the first celebrity to receive a positive COVID-19 diagnosis. Tom Hanks posted on Instagram that he and his wife Rita Wilson, who were&nbsp;in Australia while he filmed&nbsp;a movie, both were among the first celebrities to test positive. By late November 2020, as America&#39;s&nbsp;infection numbers rose to heights not seen since the beginning of the pandemic, several politicians reported testing positive for coronavirus. Among them: Rick Scott, Chuck Grassley, Ben Carson, and Donald Trump. Other members of President Trump&#39;s family with COVID-19 include first lady Melania Trump, their son Barron, and Donald Trump Jr.

These&nbsp;are not the only famous people&nbsp;to have been touched by COVID-19, however. Since February 2020, more than&nbsp;100 famous people - not to mention more than 20&nbsp;million other people in America - have revealed their diagnoses and updated the public on their health. The first recorded case of the virus&nbsp;in humans was in Wuhan, China, in November or December 2019.&nbsp;
