Sacramento International Airport is 10 miles northwest of downtown Sacramento, in Sacramento County, California. It is run by Sacramento County. Southwest Airlines carries about half the airline passengers. In 2014 the airport handled 8,971,526, up from 8,685,368 passengers in 2013.
