In other words, fictional and cartoonish. However, there&#39;s actually a large segment of people who not only believe they are real, but genuinely want to know how to contact fairies.

Belief in the existence of fairies <a href="https://www.historic-uk.com/CultureUK/The-Origins-of-Fairies/" target="_blank">appears to go back as far as the 13th century</a>, with the first historical record of fairies from&nbsp;historian&nbsp;Gervase of Tilbury. While more recent popular culture may depict fairies one way, there are many different kinds of fairies, not all of whom can fly. The interest in communicating with these fairies has continued to the present day - and though some may find the idea kind of creepy, many others believe these spiritual creatures can actually&nbsp;help make dreams come true.

June 24,&nbsp;2018, the second day of Arroyo Seco festival in Pasadena, CA,&nbsp;was&nbsp;kicked off by a&nbsp;set from Prince&#39;s band, The Revolution. The original&nbsp;Purple Rain&nbsp;lineup started with Prince back in 1983, and watching&nbsp;them play 35 years later&nbsp;felt like being transported right back to their prime. Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, BrownMark, Doctor Fink, and Bobby Z. rocked the stage and didn&#39;t miss a single note. Singer Stokley Williams joined the band for a series&nbsp;of numbers, and the crowd was completely captivated from the start.

Even though the late Prince wasn&#39;t up on that stage, it felt like he was. All it took was two words from Melvoin - &quot;Dearly beloved&quot; - to kick off their rendition of &quot;Let&#39;s Go Crazy&quot; and&nbsp;send chills down&nbsp;everyone&#39;s spines. From start to finish, the band blew the crowd&nbsp;away and did a phenomenal job at honoring their friend Prince.

Ranker employees Dom Kelly and Kat Manos were&nbsp;fortunate enough to sit down with guitarist Wendy Melvoin and bassist BrownMark to talk about The Revolution, what it was like to play with Prince, and how it feels &quot;bittersweet&quot; to perform those songs on stage without their fearless leader. Clark gave himself a 2x&nbsp;weighting, which is kind of&nbsp;a d*ck move, but hey, he's the boss, and also a seasoned concertgoer. Since style is a key part of any good music scene, they also made sure to rank the <a href="http://www.ranker.com/list/great-shirts-from-arroyo-seco/samantha-dillinger?ref=browse_list_5&amp;l=2&amp;pos=3" target="_blank">best t-shirts on display at Arroyo Seco</a>.&nbsp;The Ranker crew wasn't able to&nbsp;attend every single act at the two-day event, but we caught 64% of them, and ranked all the performances&nbsp;we did see.
