Famous Atheists: Lists of famous atheists, by profession, with photos! Lists include atheist musicians, celebrities, philosophers, writers, and activists. I've taken every notable atheist I can think of and listed them here, but please feel free to add new ones in the comments below. Prominent atheists come from all fields and walks of life - some are celebrities, some are prominent businessmen like Warren Buffett, and then there are atheist activists/writers such as Richard Dawkins and Douglas Adams. My personal beliefs actually rest more towards agnosticism over atheism, but I find it interesting how in the US there are at least a few politicians who actually declare themselves atheists. When one takes into account the dominance of the church over the last 2000 years it's interesting to see so many openly among us.
