Rob Chirico is a freelance writer and artist living Greenfield, Massachusetts. He is the author of numerous books, including “Not My Mother's Kitchen: Rediscovering Italian-American Cooking Through Stories and Recipes,” “Damn! A Cultural History of Swearing in Modern America,” and the popular “Field Guide to Cocktails.” He also won the $10,000 grand prize in the 1991 Sutter Home Build-A-Better-Burger cooking contest. Most recently he has penned “Poor Robert’s Almanac,” a humorous compendium of life, the universe and everything.
