Picking the best band logos of all time turned out to be quite a task. When asking people about their favorite band logos, most people went right to classic rock band logos like Aerosmith and Metallica, while ignoring great new rock logos like Tool and Foo Fighters. Additionally, NO ONE was thinking about rap or hip hop logos (which is ok because now there&#39;s a whole separate list of the best hip hop/rap logos). PLUS, everybody just went right to the <a class="edS-cl" href="https://www.ranker.com/crowdranked-list/the-best-rock-bands-of-all-time?ref=internalCrossLinking_keyword">best bands of all time</a> and insisted they accounted for the best logos of all time. Wrong. Band symbols can be great on their own. &nbsp;. . even if the band is not.

The criteria that ended up being used to create the list was this: a pervasive band logo that wasn&#39;t just around for one album. Bands like Arcade Fire and Blink-182 (don&#39;t judge, we&#39;re talking great band logos, not great catalogs of music) had some great logos associated with a particular album, but were nothing special over time. And some of the best bands had really underwhelming band logos (The Beatles, Rush, etc.). Famous band logos that belong at the top of this list are the truly iconic and memorable ones.

As far ranking the top band logos, it&#39;s highly subjective and votable. The best logos are not necessarily the most iconic band logos and vice versa. If you think the order&#39;s wrong, vote up the best rock band logos and vote down the band art you don&#39;t like. If there&#39;s something missing, add the artist logos you think should have a chance at being dubbed the best band logo. The one thing to really remember with this list is NO BAD BAND LOGOS.

The most undeserving members of the Rock Hall of Fame are all respectable and successful musicians and bands but quite simply, not at the level of other <a href="http://www.ranker.com/list/rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame-inductees/rockboy" target="_blank">Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees</a>. These bands and singers are far from the level of legends like <a href="http://www.ranker.com/review/led-zeppelin/1427277" target="_blank">Led Zeppelin</a>, The Beatles, Queen and Elvis Presley but somehow found their way into the Rock Hall regardless.

While all of these least deserving Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members were kind of a big deal back in their day, it&#39;s highly likely that most normal people would have never heard of these folks. Ask any 25-year-old if they&#39;ve ever heard of Darlene Love, Bobby Bland or Jimmy Cliff. See if they can tell you who Gene Vincent, Jimmy Reed or The Moonglows are. Challenge them to name one song from Little Willie John, LaVern Baker or The Flamingos. That person might not be able to recognize any of those names but they all are musicians and bands inducted into the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame. Puzzling isn&#39;t it?

No one is doubting any of the talent or success of these musicians (or saying that they are the worst people to ever make music) but when other (better) singers and bands have been snubbed for induction, it&#39;s valid to examine the interesting selections.
